Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Seffner, FL working in an outpatient setting where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Florida Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Outpatient physical therapy experience preferred.
• Experience performing comprehensive evaluations, developing treatment plans, and documenting in compliance with state and federal regulations preferred.
• Ability to supervise and delegate to therapy assistants and provide student supervision as assigned preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with functional treatment programs aimed at community reintegration.
• Familiarity with documentation of letters of medical necessity and charge entry in outpatient settings.
• Prior experience participating in performance improvement initiatives preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 5x8, Monday through Friday.
• Start: ASAP.
• Location: Seffner, FL outpatient clinic.

Impacting Patient Care

Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction. Ensure functional treatment programs support return to community activities. Provide patient, family, student, and peer education. Complete timely and accurate documentation, goal writing, and required quality assessments. Uphold professional licensure and comply with state practice act and organizational policies. Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain safety practices related to patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazards.
