Senior Application Web Developer

LOCATION

9201 Basil Court, Suite 250 Largo, MD 20774 Work will be conducted primarily onsite at the Largo Government offices with a minimum of two in-office days per week. The County may alter work locations and schedules as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

• This role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, test, and maintain user-friendly, compliant web applications and websites.
• Implement scalable and secure code for both front-end and back-end systems.
• Use tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, ASP.NET Core/MVC, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and modern web frameworks.
• Write clean scalable and efficient code; Optimize websites for speed, scalability, and security.
• Administer and enhance SharePoint and Drupal platforms.
• Create workflow automations and manage data integrations.
• Develop and consume APIs, work on low-code/no-code platforms, and ensure system security and performance.
• Remain current on industry best practices and technologies, especially Microsoft stack developments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Web Development, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant certifications in web development such as Microsoft, Azure, AWS Developer, Google Mobile Web Specialist, or Front-End Development.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• High standards of professional integrity and independent task management capabilities.

WORKING HOURS

• Core schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week.
• Must be available 24/7 to respond to emergencies.
• May be required to support tasks/projects during evenings and weekends as authorized.

DURATION

• Start Date: July 14, 2025 - End Date: February 28, 2028

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Web Development, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in web development such as Microsoft, Azure, AWS Developer, Google Mobile Web Specialist, or Front-End Development.
• Equivalent hands-on experience and relevant certifications will also be considered.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Primarily office-based work with extended periods at a computer workstation.
• Requires the ability to remain alert and respond promptly to system incidents.
• Must handle high-pressure situations with strategic problem-solving and clear communication.
• Limited travel may be required within County offices.
