Virtual Senior Tax Preparer (Independent Contractor - 1099)

Rosewood Financial Solutions LLC is seeking experienced tax preparers with active PTINs to join our team as independent contractors. This role is ideal for seasoned preparers who are comfortable working independently and are looking for access to professional tax software, operational support, and optional performance-based client opportunities. You are more than welcome to bring your current clientele. Any clients you gain from the leads provided, will be long to you.

Contractors maintain autonomy over their work while adhering to Rosewood’s compliance and workflow standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and small business tax returns

• Review and verify client documentation

• Communicate professionally with clients

• Follow IRS due diligence and compliance requirements

• Submit returns through provided tax software

• Maintain data security and confidentiality standards

• Meet seasonal deadlines and quality expectations

  Compensation Structure

• 70/30 commission split (contractor/company)

• Contractors retain full ownership of self-sourced clients

• Opportunity for company-provided client leads based on performance, conversion, and compliance

• Company-provided leads are not guaranteed

• Required Qualifications

• Active PTIN

• Prior tax preparation experience

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

• Strong attention to detail and compliance

• Reliable communication skills

• Preferred Qualifications but not required

• Multi-state tax experience

• Experience with Schedule C and small business returns

• Prior remote tax preparation experience

• Schedule
