The Hilton Orlando is looking to welcome a General Maintenance to the team!

This 1400+ room property offers six dining outlets and seamlessly blends extensive leisure offerings with world class business amenities.

In this role, the focus will mainly be on guests' requests and our ideal candidate will possess general mechanic skills, ideally has worked in hospitality industry, has a friendly/outgoing approach, a great approach to teamwork and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Shift Pattern: 4pm-12:30am Friday - Tuesday (Wednesday and Thursdays will be your days off)

Pay Rate: $22.50

What will I be doing?

  • Respond to guest issues (to include, but not limited to the following)
    • Respond to guest calls within 15 minutes
    • Greet the guest
    • Apologize for the inconvenience
    • Diagnose the issue
    • Perform a swift repair
    • Communicate to the guest what was done
    • Replaces components such as light bulbs, switches, motors, and micro-switches
    • Replaces faulty sections of pipe, valves, and fittings, using plumbing tools
  • Must be willing to plunge, snake, and replace toilets
  • Maintain inventory of parts and lubricants

  • Maintains a clean, neat shop work area, sweeping and cleaning as necessary

  • Maintain proper functioning of all equipment and tools

  • Establishes a clear line of communication with the engineering leadership

  • Assist other maintenance staff on special projects as directed by the engineering leadership

  • Read the daily log book
  • Adheres to a preventative maintenance schedule
  • Enter major accomplishments into the log book
  • Utilize the log book to communicate key information

What are we looking for?

Education:

  • A combination of education, training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job
  • High school graduation or equivalent preferred

    Preferred Experience:

  • 2 years experience of hotel facility maintenance or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
  • Experience with solving guest issues
