Headquartered in Northeast Florida, we focus on delivering practical, cost-effective solutions while maintaining strong standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
Role Overview:
As the Electrical Preconstruction Manager, you will lead the estimating, budgeting, design-assist, and preconstruction efforts for electrical construction projects across multifamily, commercial, industrial, and institutional markets. You will play a critical role in securing new business opportunities and setting projects up for success by providing accurate estimates, strategic planning, value engineering solutions, and seamless transitions from preconstruction to operations.
Working closely with clients, developers, general contractors, design teams, and internal operations leadership, you will oversee all aspects of the preconstruction process, ensuring proposals are competitive, comprehensive, and aligned with project objectives. This role serves as a key bridge between business development, estimating, and project execution teams. This role reports directly to the President of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all preconstruction activities from project pursuit through turnover to operations.
- Review drawings, specifications, conceptual designs, and project requirements to develop accurate cost estimates and budgets.
- Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, design-development, and construction document estimates.
- Manage bid strategy development, scope analysis, risk assessments, and proposal preparation.
- Coordinate and lead project takeoffs, labor analysis, material pricing, and subcontractor solicitation.
- Evaluate bid documents and identify scope gaps, exclusions, clarifications, and potential risks.
- Collaborate with owners, developers, architects, engineers, and general contractors during design and budgeting phases.
- Develop and present value engineering recommendations that improve constructability, cost efficiency, and project performance.
- Participate in design-assist and design-build project delivery processes.
- Support contract reviews and ensure alignment between awarded scope and estimate assumptions.
- Lead project handoff meetings with Project Managers and Operations teams to ensure successful project startup.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and industry partners.
- Monitor market trends, labor rates, material pricing, and industry developments to maintain estimating accuracy.
- Develop and maintain estimating standards, databases, historical cost information, and best practices.
- Mentor and support estimators to enhance team performance and professional growth.

Capabilities:

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple pursuits and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
