Senior Project Engineer

As a Senior CEI Project Engineer, you’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team of QA/QC team members to manage construction projects while training and mentoring staff and assigning team tasks daily. You’ll help keep our company connected and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful. You’ll challenge yourself by reviewing and resolving technical problems and ensuring compliance on inspections and activities of all quality related work. This position involves a significant amount of decision making and use of judgment and includes providing work direction to others. This senior level position oversees higher level inspectors and engineers in functional areas such as construction inspection and surveying; scheduling and status; roadway design; traffic signal equipment; traffic signalization and geometrics; materials sampling; inspection and testing. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior CEI Project Engineer to join our FL FDOT team.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelors in Civil, Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management (4 year degree) or Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management (2 year degree) with ten (10) years of progressive technical experience.
- PE license in the state of Florida
- Six (6) years of major road or bridge construction experience
- Direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program.
- Attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager course and pass the examination
- FDOT Advanced MOT
- Ability to demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required
- Demonstrated knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in highway construction; and considerable knowledge of mathematical functions, including algebra, geometry and trigonometry related to highway/transportation engineering.
- Valid Driver's License

165,000.00
Posted Salary Range: Upper
185,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $165,000.00 to $185,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
