Led by James Beard semifinalist chef Michael Pirolo, Bar Bucce brings together handcrafted pizzas, Italian-inspired provisions, and a thoughtfully curated wine and spirits program by Jacqueline Pirolo.

We're looking for an experienced, energetic Barista / Key Holder to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences, and is comfortable opening and leading the café each day.

Position Overview

As a Barista / Key Holder, you will be responsible for opening the restaurant, preparing the café for service, and setting the tone for both the team and our guests. You will craft high-quality beverages, maintain an organized workspace, and deliver exceptional hospitality from the moment the doors open.

Responsibilities

• Open the restaurant and serve as the key holder during assigned shifts

• Complete opening procedures, including equipment setup, cash drawer preparation, and ensuring the café is ready for service

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks

• Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions accurately

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café, including equipment, utensils, and guest areas

• Follow all food safety and handling guidelines

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to management

• Deliver warm, attentive service and create a welcoming environment for every guest

Qualifications

• Previous barista or café experience required

• Prior experience opening a restaurant, café, or retail business preferred

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative

• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision

• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures

• Availability for early morning, daytime, and weekend shifts
