Job Summary

The Shift Leader will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of club operations, on weekends (Thursday or Friday through Sunday), to ensure an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience and a safe, fair, and efficient club environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Team with recruiting, onboarding, training
• Assist the Operations Team with developing and refining a high performance team and club atmosphere
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, guests, prospective members, and team members
• Ensure team provides customer service excellence
• Assist with Club Management and provide backup support
  
  • Assist Club Manager with scheduling and supervising staff
• • Member service oversight - ensuring the team provides perpetual customer experience excellence
• • Assist in resolving or escalating team member issues or concerns
• Involved in all front desk related activities including:
  
  • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
• • Greet / register members and guests into the system
• • New member enrollment and guest registry
• • Conduct and teach effective prospective member tours
• • Facilitate all member requests, issues and questions
• Oversee/ensure club cleanliness, safety, and timely maintenance
• Assist with inventory / supply stock
• Stat (statistic) tracking and reporting
• Backup support for any team member

Qualifications/Requirements

• At minimum, available Thursday and/or Friday PM - Sunday AM or PM
• Proven winner, can do attitude, goal driven
• Superior customer service skills, preferably in retail and/or fitness
• Member Service Representative at Planet Fitness, preferred
• Solid supervisory, diplomacy, communication and listening skills
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
• Hard working, enthusiastic, and energetic
• Strong problem resolution skills
• Current CPR Certification required (can be completed with employment)
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift
• Frequent speaking (in person or phone)
• Periodically, lift weights up to or even exceeding 50 pounds (lbs.)
• Will encounter chemicals requiring adherence to MSDS guidelines

Compensation: $13.00 per hour
