Fitness Manager

Woodfield Boca Raton is seeking a Fitness Manager responsible for assisting our Director with daily operational support and the management of our staff within our busy wellness center which includes a comprehensive fitness area, full spa & salon operations, aquatics department and Café.

Our Fitness Manager must have the ability to manage the department's daily operations and expenses, bi-weekly payroll, propose ideas to generate revenue, effectively supervise staff as well as oversee fitness programming and create wellness experiences for our active membership. Our selected candidate will have an outgoing personality and will be able to manage and motivate others, as well as have excellent communication skills, excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Must have bachelors degree in health sciences, or related, and nationally recognized certification from professional fitness organization(s). Prior experience in the hotel or private club industry preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have BS degree in Health Sciences or related, and nationally recognized professional fitness certification, preferably NASM
• Must have prior experience managing fitness operations and with group fitness scheduling
• Must have proficiency in Excel
• Must have the ability to motivate others and have an outgoing personality
• Must have excellent communication skills, excellent time management and organization skills
• Must be flexible, able to work nights, weekends and holidays
