ROADWAY GROUP MANAGER - TAMPA OR ORLANDO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the Tampa Roadway Design Team while providing technical guidance, managing workload, staffing, and resources
• Serve as Lead Technical Engineer and/or Engineer of Record for roadway design projects
• Oversee project delivery with a focus on quality, schedule, budget, and client expectations
• Monitor backlog, utilization, project performance, and staffing needs to support sustainable growth
• Collaborate across offices and technical disciplines to balance workload and effectively use company resources
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Lead and support marketing pursuits, proposal development, pursuit strategy, and client interviews
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and expansion of ELEMENT's transportation services
• Participate in strategic Go/No-Go and pursuit decisions
• Represent ELEMENT at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and professional organizations

Minimum Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive roadway design experience
• Experience leading roadway design teams and supervising engineering staff
• Experience serving as Engineer of Record for FDOT transportation projects
• Strong knowledge of the FDOT Design Manual (FDM), Standard Plans, Specifications, and applicable AASHTO design criteria
• Strong working knowledge of OpenRoads Designer (ORD), MicroStation, and related roadway design software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent technical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Experience managing department operations, staffing, and workload planning
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, utilization, backlog, and financial performance
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering professionals
