GG's Waterfront is seeking a dedicated and motivated Host to join our team of hospitality professionals. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience. This position requires a warm, welcoming demeanor and the ability to manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, ensuring guests feel valued and attended to from the moment they arrive to their exit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Reception: Greet all guests warmly as they enter the restaurant.
- Reservation Management: Efficiently manage the reservation system (specifically Opentable or Resy), take phone inquiries, and address availability/dining options.
- Seating: Assign tables based on reservation status and the overall flow of the dining room, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between the Front of House and kitchen staff to ensure timely service, and communicate special requests or dietary restrictions to servers.
- Ambiance Maintenance: Ensure that the entrance, waiting areas, and host stand are clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Customer Service: Address any guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy, striving to exceed expectations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the management and service team to optimize guest flow and dining experience.
- Previous experience in a host or front-of-house role in an upscale dining setting is strongly preferred.
- Required: Knowledge of and experience with major reservation systems like Opentable or Resy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and providing genuine warmth.
