Our client, with over 40 years in the business , is seeking an experienced Marine Mechanic for new-build yacht construction. This role is for senior-level mechanics skilled in inboard and sterndrive systems — not outboards or the auto industry.
What You’ll Do
- Install and align engines, shafts, struts, rudders, and propulsion systems
- Fit and connect fuel, hydraulic, exhaust, and plumbing systems
- Install and test HVAC, refrigeration, and other onboard mechanical systems
- Perform system checks, troubleshooting, and precision mechanical alignments
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical layouts
- Work closely with electrical and structural teams during integration
What You Bring
- 3+ years experience with inboard or sterndrive marine systems
- Strong background in propulsion, hydraulics, fuel, and plumbing systems
- Skilled with precision measuring tools and alignment techniques
- Able to adapt quickly after brief onboarding; senior-level troubleshooting ability
