About the Position
- Provide safe and effective patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room, equipment, and supplies according to surgical case requirements.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic and sterile technique.
- Accurately document all care in Epic EMR.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
- Participate in required on-call rotations and respond within 30 minutes of call-back.
- Assist in orientation or mentoring of new staff or travelers.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of recent Operating Room experience required.
- Travel Experience: Prior travel experience required.
- Licensure: Active Florida RN or Compact License.
- BLS – Required
- ACLS & PALS – Preferred
- Education:
- Degree accreditation must appear on profile or minimum 5 years of OR experience required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Epic EMR.
- Required Expertise: Robotic and Orthopedic/Neuro surgery experience.
