Job Description:
Administration, Coordination and Supervision of Graduate Medical Education of Residents.
Manage and coordinate ACGME accreditation site visits for the Radiology Residency Program. Assist with departmental continuous quality educational improvement initiatives. Maintain web-based ACGME accreditation surveys for the Radiology Residency Program, collecting and collating appropriate information from various sources throughout the campus. Compile and submit reports quarterly and annually to the ACGME, American Board of Radiology, American University of Radiologists, Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, FRIEDA, and other professional organizations as required. Maintain effective and professional relationships with representatives from the ACGME, American College of Radiology, the Radiology Review Committee (RRC) and the American Board of Radiology. Assist with preparation of house staff budget. Compile documentation for justification of additional house staff funding. Develop educational portfolios for resident assessment. Manage the residency call and rotation schedules. Responsible for registering residents for the new computerized annual American Board of Radiology in-training examination. Responsible for registering all residents for the American Institute of Radiology, Pathology rotation (AIRP). Provide administrative support to the Radiology Program Director and 3 Associate Program Directors, including scheduling of GME meetings, recording and maintaining meeting minutes, development of reports and provision of data to the Radiology Residency Clinical Competency Committee and Program Evaluation Committee. Implementation of policies developed by the committee. Under the direction of the PD and APD, develop, direct, plan, organize, and implement educational activities that support the curriculum. Coordinate daily resident lectures by scheduling required ACGME lectures based on faculty availability and work schedule, arranging and coordinating Zoom sessions for remote residents.
Administration, Coordination and Organization of House Staff Recruitment
Performs all residency match responsibilities and corresponds with newly matched residents about the requirements and process for appointment to the hospitals. Ensure all interns are credentialed before starting any rotation. Assists with quota review. Maintains the ERAS database (Electronic Residency Application System) and oversees its processes during the Residency Recruitment season. Review all residency applications and screen those appropriate for an interview. Review residency applications for completeness. Notify applicants of decisions for interview. Process termination paperwork for graduating residents.
Administrative Support for Radiology Residency Program Director and Chief Residents
Coordination of Resident Functions
Coordinate all social functions for the Radiology Residency Program, including welcome breakfasts/luncheons for new residents, departmental picnics, holiday gatherings, and graduation/awards banquets.Expected Salary:
$45,000 - $60,000; commensurate with education and experience
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
