Compensation

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Clyde, NC 28721 (Western North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens / travel nurse contract
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (09/29/2025 – 12/29/2025)
• Facility: 39-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a 154-bed hospital
• Electronic Health Record: Paragon EHR
• Orientation: Bi-weekly start dates for new travel nurses

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification (required for all RN jobs)
• Ability to float to weekends as needed
• Strong clinical skills in adult and geriatric patient care
• Must reside 60+ miles from facility to qualify as a travel nurse
• Professionalism, adaptability, and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry data and cardiac events
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, perform patient assessments, and document care in the Paragon EHR system
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
