Project Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Project Engineer to support the Owner’s Representative team on a large-scale, $1.8 billion construction program. This position will be based in an active construction trailer and plays a key role in maintaining project documentation to include construction related submittals, RFI’s, Test and Inspection documentation, and other contract related documentation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment and will possess excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Serves as an assistant to assigned Project Manager (PM) to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Manager by implementing a myriad of typically technical tasks on an as needed basis
Operates in the office and/or field for administrative duties essential to project delivery
Becomes familiar with all pertinent Contract documents as well as Project management software and controls systems
Assists in the processing and monitoring of progress payments, submittals, document management / controls and distribution, and general management of project related office support services through the Owners Project Management Software (PMIS) Kahua
Stays familiar with Airport Operations, necessary security protocols and Airport notification processes (i.e. SIRs, MCNs, NOTAMs, etc.) so that work can continue in a timely manner
Assists PM on dissemination of information as needed with particular attention to upcoming work efforts that require notifications
P rovides open and honest communication to the project team, HCAA Staff and others as required, both oral and written, depending on the situation at hand
Participates in all necessary meetings with Design Builders/Contractors and HCAA staff as needed.
Here's what you'll need
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction project administrative experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or architecture environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with construction project management systems a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in an active jobsite trailer and adapting to changing project needs.
Work Environment:
This position is based in an active construction trailer as part of a major capital program. The role requires regular interaction with project managers, design build teams, contractors, and client representatives .

90,000.00
Posted Salary Range: Upper
125,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $125,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
