Server Assistant / Food Runner
Elliott Aster | In partnership with Chef Lee Wolen, Boka Restaurant Group, and the iconic Vinoy
Working closely with the General Manager and Front of House leadership team, the Server Assistant / Food Runner supports the dining room by maintaining table readiness, assisting with food & service execution, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. This role is essential in supporting the flow of service and enhancing the overall guest experience.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, stock, and maintain service stations and the pass with all necessary supplies and non-alcoholic beverages according to established pars
- Deliver food to guests accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper presentation, positioning, and clear dish descriptions including key ingredients and allergy information
- Assist with food and beverage service
- Follow established steps of service to support a high-quality guest experience
- Clear, reset, and maintain tables and surrounding service areas to ensure readiness for incoming guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room, pass, and all service areas
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in table maintenance and food delivery to support seamless service flow
- Maintain strong menu knowledge, including ingredients and allergy considerations, to assist guests when needed
- Communicate professionally and courteously with guests and team members at all times
- Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards
- Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing duties thoroughly and efficiently
- Passionate about hospitality and creating a welcoming dining environment
- Strong work ethic with the ability to stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced setting
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset across FOH and BOH teams
- Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and organization

Physical Requirements:
- Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
- Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant which may include stairs, uneven, and/or slick surfaces
- Ability to bear exposure to hot and cold environments
