Senior Property Accountant

Job Description:

A well-established commercial real estate company in West Palm Beach is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for the full cycle day-to-day property accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, fixed assets, financial reporting, and client reporting across multiple properties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced in managing the financials for several commercial properties while meeting tight reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for full-cycle accounts payable.

• Maintain, reconcile, and administer all general ledger accounts.

• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliation, and financial reporting

• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for internal management and investors.

• Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules in accordance with GAAP.

• Maintain financial controls, processes, and procedures to ensure the company maintains high compliance with GAAP.

• Provide management with timely updates on financial status and progress.

• Responsible for financial reporting across several commercial properties

• Prepare annual CAM reconciliation for commercial tenants

• Meet tight month-end close and reporting deadlines

• Assist with special projects as required.

Qualifications:

BS degree in Accounting, MBA a plus; 5+ years of post-graduate business property accounting experience, demonstrating extensive experience in A/R, A/P, General Ledger and financial statement preparation; Positive team player with strong people skills; Strong proficiency in MS Office - with advanced skill level in Excel Must be proficient in Yardi; Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong knowledge of CAM reconciliations. Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties in a deadline-driven environment.
