• P rimarily a Monday-Friday shift. Hours 8a-4p, but can be altered.
• Serves as a clinical resource to technologists, students, and other staff, offering guidance on protocols, positioning, image quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors and supports compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles, and regulatory/accreditation standards.
• Assists with onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing competency assessment of technologists and new hires.
• Supports leadership in performance management through the talent care process, performance reviews, and providing coaching opportunities for team member development.
• Collaborates with radiologists, leadership, and other departments to facilitate timely and coordinated imaging services.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives, including image quality audits, repeat analysis, and process improvement projects.
• Ensures proper equipment functionality and coordinates preventative maintenance.
• Participates in scheduling, timekeeping, and supply inventory management to support operational efficiency and budget goals.
• Provides day-to-day supervision of technologists, support staff, and imaging operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
• Coordinates daily workflow and staffing assignments, balancing patient volumes, technologist availability, and room utilization.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, isolation techniques, and sterile procedures [Required]
• Demonstrates skills in listening, empathizing, and responds to patient, family, internal/external partner needs [Required]
• Ability to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care, or services delivered [Required]
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate with other health care professionals in the management and implementation of care within and across care settings and communities [Required]
• Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately [Required]
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Effective communication skills [Required]
• Requires knowledge of all aspects of diagnostic imaging and safety including radiation safety to patients, families, and co-workers [Required]
• Ability to perform various imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail [Required]
• Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians [Required]
• Analytical and organizational skills [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]
• Knowledge of x-ray procedures and equipment [Required]
• Ability to appropriately supervise departmental staff in all aspects of employee support functions [Required]
• Capability to lead a small group of technical staff in day-to-day operations efficiently and effectively [Required]
• Must use initiative and judgment to intervene on issues before problems arise or conflicts escalate [Required]
• Decision-making skills and mature judgment frequently required in dealing with patients, public, physicians, and coworkers [Required]
• Familiar with general physics and anatomy [Required]
• Ability to learn and grow with new technology and maintain workflow [Required]
• Excellent customer service skills [Required]
• Experience as a registered technologist or training in all complex exams/procedures such as fluoroscopy and OR image guidance. [Required]
• Ability to train and coach new hires or radiology students. [Required]
• Experience with scheduling, coordinating, inventory, protocol management, productivity and labor tracking, performance improvement initiatives, budget management, service line strategy, and team member evaluation. [Required]

Education:

• Associate [Required]
• Bachelor's [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• N/A

Work Experience:

• 5+ years imaging experience [Preferred]
• 1+ years leadership experience [Preferred]
