HBS - Locums: Emergency Medicine Physician - Ocala - West Marion Hospital

Job Opportunity – Emergency Medicine Physician – Florida
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Florida
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Primarily 12-hour shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a); some 8-hour shifts available. No call. Weekday and weekend shifts available.
Highlights:
- Contract duration: 1-2 years anticipated (until further notice)
- Work at freestanding emergency departments and main facility locations
- Level 2 (ACS Level 1) Trauma Center experience at select sites
- Support from Advanced Practice Providers and emergency medicine residents depending on shift and location
- Volume varies by site: approximately 2 patients per hour at freestanding locations; higher volume at main facilities
- Most patients are vertical acuity level 3 cases (chest pain, abdominal pain, etc.)
Requirements:
- Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine after successful completion of an accredited residency; OR
- Family Medicine or Internal Medicine trained with 3 years of clinical experience (for freestanding emergency departments only)
- Florida medical license (emergency privileges available)
- Proficiency in all emergency care procedures required: central access, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, intubation, pacing, orthopedic stabilization, and other emergent interventions
