Our Company is searching for a skilled and dependable Welder who will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining dumpsters, trailers, and related equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our fleet and containers remain safe, functional, and presentable for customer use. The Welder will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with shop staff to maintain operational efficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Reinforce a culture of Safety within the staff, first and foremost.

Inspect metal dumpsters, cans, and trailers for structural damage, cracks, excessive wear, and safety hazards.

Perform MIG welding repairs on steel dumpsters and related equipment.

Repair or replace floors, side panels, doors, hinges, lids, caster plates, and structural supports as needed.

Fabricate and weld replacement parts when necessary.

Grind, cut, and prep metal surfaces for proper welding and finishing.

Ensure repaired dumpsters are structurally sound, watertight when required, and safe for customer use.

Assist with installation of reinforcement plates and preventative wear protection.

Perform minor mechanical repairs related to dumpster components.

Maintain welding equipment, tools, and shop areas in clean and safe working conditions.

Track completed repairs and parts used; maintain repair logs and communicate needs for materials and supplies.

Work with Operations to prioritize repairs to minimize downtime of dumpsters and equipment.

Assist in special projects as necessary.

High school diploma or higher preferred.

Minimum 2 years of welding experience preferred (MIG experience required)

Experience with structural steel repair and fabrication.

Ability to read tape measures and perform basic measurements and calculations.

Ability to operate grinders, torches, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools.

Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Able to stand for long periods and work in varying weather conditions when necessary.
