STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Naked Farmer is a pioneering farm-to-table restaurant group with multiple locations across Florida, cooking and serving scratch-made, healthy, and affordable meals. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team and help us grow our mission to build a better food system.

• Position is on-site in our Home Office, located on Water Street in Tampa


• Salary $65-75K

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a key contributor to our accounting team, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the monthly close process by preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.


• Analyzing general ledger accounts to identify necessary accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.


• Collaborating with the Controller to ensure close schedules are met on time.


• Assisting with financial statement inquiries at both store and corporate levels.


• Preparing sales tax calculations and filing periodic sales tax returns .


• Preparing payroll entries and balance sheet reconciliations while resolving discrepancies with the payroll team.


• Auditing corporate card and expense reports


• Auditing supplier contract integrity


• Assisting with sourcing & supply requests for proposal to support seasonal menus


• Contributing to special projects, ad hoc analyses , and reporting efforts as directed.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree (or working toward one) in Accounting or Finance .


• CPA or CPA track is a plus (not required).


• Strong proficiency with Excel and its functions.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to quickly adapt to new computer programs and software.


• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.


• A collaborative mindset and the ability to troubleshoot challenges as part of a team.


• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE DESIRED

• 1-2 years of accounting experience , bonus points if it's in in multi-unit industries.


• Minimum 1 year of experience with a focus on general ledger accounting .


• Prior experience with financial reporting is a plus.
