The Senior Manager, Food & Beverage manages and oversees all aspects of the property's food and beverage planning and service. The Senior Manager will be responsible for the successful implementation of new menu items, menu planning and costs, preparation and presentation of food & drinks and adhere to quality and safety standards. Plans, coordinates, and oversees special events. Identify marketing opportunities promote food and beverage products.
Essential Responsibilities
Plans, coordinates, and oversees all banquet and catering events
Assist in oversight in menu planning
Actively coaches F&B team members in job and growth
Ensures all service/hospitality standards are being met throughout operation
Develop positive guest relations through proactive interaction with guests, team Members, contractors, and vendors
Collaborate department operations, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning and waste management with Resort General Manager
Work closely with Sales Team to execute a successful banquet event.
Responsible to direct set-up, break-down and clean-up of event.
Knowledge and understanding of BEO is required
Ensure that staffing levels are maintained to cover business demands
Empowers employees to provide excellent guest service
Should advocate sound financial/business decision making, demonstrates honesty, integrity and leads by example
Manages hospitality POS systems, software, and menu programming
Performs other work-related duties assigned
REQUIREMENTS Competencies, skills, attributes, experience, licenses, certifications, required)
High School Diploma or GED; 6 years of experience in the food & beverage management, culinary management, banquet management, or related field
Bilingual is a plus
Ability to organize workloads, adapt quickly, and deliver under pressure.
Must maintain a flexible schedule and be able and available to work early morning, late night and weekends when business demands.
Computer Literacy/Spreadsheet knowledge Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift at 25 - 100 pounds
While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be required to walk or stand for long periods of time
While performing this job, employee will be exposed to sunlight, extreme temperatures, wet and/or humid conditions
Maintains a professional appearance appropriate to position and as per company policy
