Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is accepting CVs from interested OB/GYNs seeking an opportunity in one of the fastest growing communities on the West Coast of Florida . First Physicians Group, the employed medical group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care system, formed in 1994 continues to be one of the best and strongest providers of primary and specialty care in the region.

Located in the beach town of Venice, this position offers a new or experienced physician an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and growing group of three physician partners and a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in a familial work environment for both providers and staff.

SMH-Venice Hospital opened in December 2021, located on a 65-acre campus and features a 365,000-square-foot, 5 story hospital with 212 private patient suites, a 61-bed emergency care center, 8 surgical suites to include a daVinci XI Robot. The adjoining 2 story, 60,000-square-foot Medical Office Building is where the OB/GYN practice is conveniently located.

SMH-Venice is equipped with 10 luxury LDRPs, 2 C-Section ORs, and 4 triage beds . The Level I nursery accepts patients who are 35+ weeks with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner on call 24/7. SMH-Sarasota, located 17 miles North, is the only hospital in Sarasota County providing a Level III NICU.

Opportunity Highlights:

• 8 patient-facing sessions (4-clinic days) a week with block OR time.
• Average 20 patients a day in clinic.
• Provide Outpatient Obstetrics & Gynecologic Care.
• Perform C-Sections and Gynecologic surgeries/procedures.
• Equitable call coverage with the ability to deliver and round on your own patients.
• OB Hospitalist group provides 24/7 coverage for unassigned patients.
• 24/7 Anesthesia coverage . Group employs 3 OB Fellowship-Trained Anesthesiologists.

Required Qualifications:

1. MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine.
2. Completion of a certified OBGYN residency program.
3. Active or eligible for Florida medical license.
4. Board Certified or Board Eligible.
