Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack (Java/Angular)

Doran Jones is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to leverage their engineering experience in a solutions-focused Agile environment.

When you join our team, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to work on solution development activities, from the initial requirement capture to software architecture and implementation.

This is a hybrid role that requires 2-3 days a week in the Tampa office.

It is a full-time, salaried position and is not open to C2C or other contracts. 

• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the teams.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, data engineering, and cloud computing.
• Support the design, development, and maintenance of full-stack applications using Java, Angular/React, and Microservices architecture.
• Ensure the efficient implementation of back-end systems using PostgreSQL and MongoDB for data storage and management.
• Develop scalable, high-performance, and secure applications on cloud platforms (AWS and GCP).
• Support the design and architecture of systems to ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience for franchise-critical applications.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to define and implement technical solutions that meet business requirements.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and improve system performance.
• Contribute to the deployment and integration of applications on AWS and GCP, leveraging cloud-native services for optimal performance.
• Ensure that applications are built with a focus on security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to streamline the development and deployment process.
• Meet project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation across multiple teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of full-stack solutions into business operations.
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any risks or issues.

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development, with expertise in Java, Angular/React, Microservices, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Extensive experience in developing and deploying applications on AWS and GCP platforms.
• Proven track record in leading and managing multiple engineering teams.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies like Angular and React, and back-end technologies such as Java and Microservices.
• Strong expertise in database management with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of cloud architectures, system design for high availability, and development of mission-critical applications.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

• Experience with large-scale, distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Advanced certifications in AWS, GCP, or full-stack development.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
