Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will provide outsourced accounting and consulting services to a diverse range of clients, ensuring that all financial operations are managed efficiently. In this role, you will oversee and maintain general ledgers, perform thorough account reconciliations, prepare accurate journal entries, and generate monthly financial statements. You will also play a key role in performing variance analysis, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. Additionally, you will assist with preparing audit schedules and supporting audit processes. A key focus of this position is driving process improvements and system implementations, aimed at streamlining accounting workflows and enhancing operational efficiency for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain general ledgers for multiple clients.
• Perform account reconciliations and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements for clients.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements.
• Prepare audit schedules and assist with audits as needed.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their accounting needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Assist in implementing systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of public accounting or relevant experience at a Big 4 or large accounting firm.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• CPA-eligible or currently working towards CPA certification.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.
• Strong ability to manage client relationships independently and proactively.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and handling seasonal workloads, particularly during year-end and tax season.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both clients and team members.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and analytical, with a keen ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
