DESTIN FLIGHT WORKS (DFW) is a FAA Certified Part 145 Repair Station at the Destin and Crestview Airport in Florida. At DFW we strive for a healthy, professional, and safe work environment in order to provide the highest level of quality, safety and performance to our customers. DFW is also an FAA certified Part 141 Flight School.
We are looking to hire two positions – Mechanics for both Rotorcraft and Fixed Wing. We offer paid vacation and competitive pay for experience and effort.
Key Responsibilities for Fixed Wing:
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal aircraft performance, and adherence to a high level of safety protocols.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on a variety of airplanes and rotorcraft, in accordance with FAA regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose a multitude of possible discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts inventory, in compliance with FAA requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of maintenance projects.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes to continuously improve processes and ensure compliance.
Job Requirements:
- A&P license required.
- Standard aviation tools required.
- Must be able to climb ladders, move in, out and around aircraft safely.
• Lift 50lb
•Work diligently, efficiently, and safely with minimal supervision.
- Read and understand maintenance manuals, drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, etc.
- Meet requirements of DOT drug test policy
Experience and Training:
- Minimum of 3 years Aviation experience in fixed wing and/or rotorcraft.
Key Responsibilities for Rotorcraft:
License/Certification:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant License Required
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Bell and MD helicopter models.
- Conduct inspections in accordance with FAA, manufacturer, and company requirements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Document all work performed accurately in maintenance records.
- Ensure all maintenance is performed to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain efficient shop operations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Bell and/or MD helicopters.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required .
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and manufacturer maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
