The Private Equity Group ("PEG") of J.P. Morgan Investment Management Inc. is one of the longest-standing global private equity programs in the industry. The PEG manages over $33 billion of assets on behalf of a diverse group of leading global institutions and individual investors. The team consists of over 70 professionals operating from offices in New York, West Palm Beach, London, Hong Kong and New Delhi. The investment program includes primary, secondary, and co-investment opportunities.

Job Summary

As an Associate within the PEG's West Palm Beach office, you role will focus primarily on investment activities in the Florida market and will provide direct support to Portfolio Managers in the sourcing and underwriting of private equity investments, as well as managing the existing investment portfolio. There will likely be additional opportunities to support transactions outside the state alongside PEG professionals in other offices.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in sourcing and deal origination of primary partnership investments, secondary transactions, and co-investments
  • Assist in conducting comprehensive due diligence
  • Aid in the preparation of investment memoranda and investment recommendations
  • Support in the analysis of historical investment performance, portfolio company performance, financial statements, financial models, and industry research
  • Assist in monitoring and client reporting on existing portfolio investments

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration (or related field)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience, including private equity investing, manager selection, financial analysis, investment banking/M&A, or strategic consulting
  • Excellent analytical skills, communication, writing and presentation
  • Willingness to work effectively in a team environment
  • Full-time resident in Florida within proximity of the West Palm Beach office (existing or willingness to relocate)
  • Potential/expectation for candidate to grow within the PEG
