COMPANY DESCRIPTION (DEFAULT): VERSANT, Comcast Corporation’s (NASDAQ: CMCSA) planned spin-off, will be a leading independent publicly traded media company comprised of most of NBCUniversal’s cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025, subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions.

Job Description

Versant is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team.

The Platform Engineering group specializes in developing features for various Versant properties. These features power our customer facing applications and extend services to golfers, golf facilities around the world and more. Job Duties

• Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable applications with high availability and performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define, enhance, and deploy platform features that serve global users.
• Deliver quality code with modern practices including unit testing, CI/CD, and API-first development.
• Lead complex technical projects and contribute to long-term architectural decisions.
• Continuously reduce technical debt and champion engineering best practices.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience using C# and .NET frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience with MS SQL or T-SQL (or equivalent relational databases).
• Proven ability to deliver in a collaborative, agile, and fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding standards and test-driven development.
• Demonstrated ability to build high-quality, maintainable, and modular systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with high-traffic applications and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs and services.
• Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Passion for building impactful products that make a difference in people’s lives.
