Senior Software Engineer

Senior Full-Stack Engineer (AI-Native):
As a Senior Software Engineer at SureCost you will be responsible for developing software to help pharmacists on the ground make better buying and inventory management decisions every day. We create a positive user experience through our hosted services that are scalable and secure.

We hire engineers who ship full-stack production software using fully agentic AI development workflows. The job isn't only building AI products — it's using AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, similar) as your primary development environment to deliver real systems on real timelines.

The right candidate will have experience shipping production code with fully agentic AI tools— Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor agent mode, or equivalent. Not autocomplete. You've used agents to write, test, and operate substantive code in a large multi-tenant SaaS application that is currently in production.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

While maintenance and enhancement of current applications is part of what you will do here, responsibilities also include:

• Creating agents that perform analysis, design, development, and unit testing of complex software applications, then validating and improving their outputs.
• Creating SaaS solutions via agentic workflows utilizing best practice technologies
• Working with other software engineers and management to develop new tools or enhance current systems for customer requirements, correct defects, and integration with other systems.
• Being an integral part of processes, planning, and customer value discussions.
• On call rotations are a required part of our DevOps philosophy

Qualifications

• Production shipping with fully agentic AI tools— Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor agent mode, or equivalent. Not autocomplete. You've used agents to write, test, and operate substantive code in production.
• Full-stack mentality— you own frontend, backend, data, infra without handing off at boundaries.
• Strong problem-solving— read unfamiliar codebases fast, debug across abstraction layers, make sound architectural calls under time pressure.
• Full accountability— you own what you ship end to end. From design through deploy through whatever breaks at 3am. No "done at handoff," no "that's another team's problem." If your code is in production, it's yours.
• Modern cloud fluency— comfortable in at least one of AWS / GCP / Azure, plus a mainstream backend, frontend, and data stack. Pick up new ones fast.
• Minimum of 8 years software design and development experience.
• Ideally Expertise in:
  • AWS Native Deployment Models
  • ReactJS, Java, SQL database development
