The stunning resort will feature 433 rooms (to include 51 impeccably designed suites and 10 spacious family suites), 65,000 square feet of meeting space (40,000 indoor and 25,000 outdoor), a tranquil spa, two 18-hole golf courses, and 6 food and beverage outlets. This includes 3 restaurants (rooftop, southern Italian, and poolside), a cocktail bar, marketplace and in-room dining.

  • Shift: Must have flexible shift availability and must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

What will I be doing?

A mechanic installs, maintains, and repairs industrial, commercial, or residential cooling systems, including refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, and chillers. Key duties include diagnosing electrical/mechanical faults, repairing refrigerant leaks, replacing compressors, soldering, and ensuring compliance with EPA regulations for handling refrigerants.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Installation: Installing new cooling systems, components, and wiring, including brazing or soldering pipes and fitting, in according with manufacturer specifications.

  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing malfunctions in refrigeration units, replacing broken parts (pumps, fans, motors), and repairing, re-sweating, or replacing refrigerant lines.

  • Maintenance: Performing preventative maintenance, such as checking gauges, cleaning coils, adjusting valves, lubricating motors, and recording temperatures/pressures.

  • Compliance & Safety: Following EPA regulations for handling, recovering, and recycling refrigerants and maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Documentation: Keeping accurate, up-to-date records on service calls, repairs, and materials used.

What are we looking for?

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of refrigeration principles, electrical circuits, and HVAC systems.

  • Certifications: EPA Universal certification.

  • Tools & Equipment: Proficiency in using electrical testing devices, brazing equipment, gauges, and hand tools.

  • Run diagnostics for electrical problems

  • Replacement of faulty components

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.), work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods.

  • Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of an apprenticeship or technical HVAC/R program is highly preferred.

Preferable skills:

Troubleshooting kitchen equipment such as:

  • Oven / range

  • Flat top grills

  • Grills

  • Fryers
