Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 / yr.

Join FISD as Catering Manager at First Academy where you'll lead a world-class team to deliver outstanding catering services! This is an ambitious opportunity for those who are passionate about crafting flawless events and providing exceptional service. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that every event is completed with excellence, from start to finish, including proper set-up, cleaning, and breakdown procedures.

First Academy is an Orlando-based private Christian school for students from preschool to 12th grade and is recognized as an Apple Distinguished School, offering a dynamic and enriching environment for both students and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises all catering events.
• Ensure that catering or concessions are provided almost every day of the week, with a schedule that varies based on events and sports schedules.
• Involved in catering events operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and all facility-related activities. 
• Works with the Chef in creating menus.
• Manage the sports concessions programs, which include two concession stands
• Trains associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
• Tracks and monitors the labor and food cost for each event.
• Communicates on various levels to include management, client, customer and associate levels; maintains excellent client relationships.
• Assists in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of food service experience, including at least 1 year at the management level.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Prior experience in a school setting preferred.
• Prior catering experience is required.
• Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
• ServSafe Certification.
