SAP Accountant

Kforce has a client that is seeking a SAP Accountant in Tampa, FL. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented SAP Accountant to support accounting operations, financial reporting, and ERP-related accounting activities within an SAP environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, supporting month-end close, and leveraging SAP to ensure efficient and compliant accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, SAP expertise, and analytical skills to support business and financial objectives. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts within SAP
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate variances
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inventory accounting activities
• Review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Generate and analyze financial reports using SAP and related reporting tools
• Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting
• Support intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and month-end processes
• Troubleshoot SAP transaction issues and collaborate with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to resolve discrepancies
• Assist with ERP enhancements, testing, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Hands-on experience using SAP in an accounting or finance environment
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• CPA certification or CPA candidate
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or multiple SAP modules
• Experience with fixed assets, inventory, cost accounting, or financial reporting
• Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or process improvements
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or corporate accounting environments
