Plumbing Estimator – Lead Commercial and Industrial Preconstruction Excellence
Company: Feddon Mechanical LLC.
Salary/Pay Rate: $85,000 - $110,000 per year (plus Year-End Bonus).
Location: Onsite (Pinellas Park, FL.).
Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
Schedule: Monday – Friday.
Project Scope: Plumbing (Commercial, Industrial, Government or Federal)
Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.
You will serve as a cornerstone of the preconstruction team, directly influencing the company’s growth by securing complex commercial and industrial projects. This role offers the autonomy to manage the full bid lifecycle while being backed by a leadership team that genuinely cares for its people. How You Will Make an ImpactExecute precise quantity takeoffs for domestic water, sanitary, and storm systems to ensure bid accuracy.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and clients
Formulate comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment using FastPIPE software.
Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify potential scope gaps or coordination risks early.
Negotiate and level subcontractor and vendor quotations to maintain competitive project pricing.
Develop value engineering options and alternate material solutions to increase project profitability.
Coordinate smooth project handoffs by communicating critical estimate assumptions to the operations team.
Maintain organized historical cost data to refine and improve future estimating benchmarks.
Minimum of 3–5 years of estimating experience specifically within commercial plumbing or mechanical contracting.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Proven proficiency in using industry-standard estimating software (e.g., FastPIPE) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Demonstrated analytical skills necessary to evaluate project risks and meet strict bid deadlines.
Associate degree or technical training in a construction-related field.
Experience estimating for healthcare, educational, municipal, or high-security federal facilities.
Advanced knowledge of industrial plumbing systems and specialized mechanical installation methods.
