We’re looking for a Front-End Developer who can take ownership of our public-facing WordPress sites and contribute to internal tools like our custom-built operations platform. If you’re the type who can balance creative front-end design with thoughtful, maintainable code, that’s fast & reliable, this role’s for you.

Position Overview

As a Front-End Developer at Kalos, you’ll split your time between WordPress site management and front-end feature development within our internal systems. You’ll help us keep our public sites modern, responsive, and fast — while also assisting with internal web applications that support company operations.

You’ll collaborate with developers, designers, and business systems teams to deliver secure, efficient, and polished user experiences across everything we build. This role is ideal for a developer who thrives in collaborative problem-solving, and enjoys turning complex workflows into elegant, usable interfaces.

Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 (commensurate with experience)

Location: Clermont, FL (On-site)

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress-based websites and microsites.
  
• Implement custom themes and templates using PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 .
  
• Manage site integrations with APIs, form systems, and analytics tools.
  
• Contribute to front-end development of internal apps like Kalos Live (React, Next.js, Tailwind).
  
• Ensure consistent UX/UI across all Kalos digital platforms.
  
• Troubleshoot front-end bugs and maintain clean, reusable components.
  
• Optimize performance, accessibility, and responsiveness for all devices.
  
• Collaborate with IT and Business Systems to align branding, content, and functionality.

Requirements

• 3+ years professional experience in front-end web development.
  
• Proven experience with WordPress (custom themes, hooks, functions.php, ACF, Elementor, or similar).
  
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript , HTML5 , CSS3 , and responsive design.
  
• Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON data handling.
  
• Understanding of web security, SEO best practices, and performance optimization.
  
• Familiarity with version control ( Git/GitHub ) and modern deployment workflows.

Preferred:

• Experience with modern frameworks such as React , Next.js , or Vue .
  
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS , Material UI , or similar component libraries.
  
• Exposure to backend concepts (Node.js, Express, or API design).
  
• Understanding of UX principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).
  
• Experience managing hosting environments (e.g., WP Engine, Cloudflare, or similar).

Soft Skills

• Strong eye for design, layout, and usability.
  
• Communicates clearly — works well with both developers and non-technical staff.
• Self-directed but collaborative; thrives in a smaller, fast-moving team.
  
• Strong problem-solver with a pragmatic approach to deadlines.
