Regional Medical Assistant Float

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $19.00–$21.00/hour

We’re hiring a Regional Medical Assistant Float to support multiple clinics with both clinical and administrative tasks. This role requires up to 85% travel within your assigned region and includes direct patient care, assisting with procedures, and handling front office responsibilities. You’ll report to your home clinic’s Office Manager and help keep operations running smoothly wherever you’re needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, and record medical history in EMR
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and in-office testing
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform phlebotomy
• Manage front desk tasks: phones, scheduling, check-in/out
• Maintain inventory and a clean, stocked clinical environment
• Educate patients and provide support during visits
• Help onboard and train new team members
• Travel between clinics within the region (85% travel)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical Assistant training preferred (RMA/CMA a plus)
• 1+ year of experience in a clinical setting
• CPR and IV certification preferred
• Phlebotomy and EMR experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Must have reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 15 lbs
• Able to be on your feet for extended periods

* Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
* Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
* Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
* Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
* Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients.
* Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
* Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
* Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
* Perform routine laboratory tests and sample analyses.
* Greet and log in patients arriving at office or clinic.
* Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms.
