Senior Events & Conferences Manager

Our client is a globally recognized events and conferences company with over 20 years of experience producing large-scale, high-impact experiences for Fortune 500 companies. As they expand into the U.S. market, they are establishing their first U.S. headquarters in Miami, Florida. Known for delivering industry-leading events across sectors, they are seeking a Senior Events & Conferences Manager to lead the launch and buildout of their Miami office and oversee the execution of flagship events in the region.
Compensation:
- Base salary of $95,000
- Comprehensive health benefits
- 3 weeks of vacation
Responsibilities:
- Lead the setup and launch of the company’s new U.S. headquarters in Miami, establishing operational workflows, vendor relationships, and local infrastructure.
- Manage end-to-end planning and execution of major conferences and events, often with budgets exceeding six figures.
- Develop timelines, manage budgets, and coordinate all event logistics to ensure seamless delivery of world-class experiences.
- Work closely with global leadership to align the U.S. office with the organization’s brand standards and international operations.
- Source and negotiate with venues, suppliers, and partners to deliver high-quality events within budget constraints.
- Supervise on-site event execution, including staff coordination, setup, and troubleshooting to ensure client satisfaction.
- Build and manage a growing local team as operations scale, contributing to hiring and training decisions.
- Develop strong relationships with corporate clients, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Manage post-event reporting and analysis, including budget reconciliation and performance evaluation.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices to bring fresh ideas and innovations to the U.S. market.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing large-scale corporate events, ideally in an agency environment with a reputable event management firm.
- Strong budget management skills, with experience handling six-figure event budgets.
- Ability to lead, build, and inspire teams in a new and growing market.
- Excellent vendor negotiation, logistics coordination, and project management skills.
- Confident client-facing presence, with strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience launching or managing new offices or teams is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
