**Job Overview:**
In the dynamic role of Appeals and Round Two Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the comprehensive appeals process for veterans seeking benefits claims. You will work closely with veterans and their families, providing them with the guidance, support, and information they need to navigate the often-complex appeals system. Your expertise will be vital in reviewing claims in the Round Two stage, where you will ensure that all necessary documentation is complete and that every case receives the attention it deserves.
**Responsibilities:**
- Oversee the appeals process for veterans' benefit claims, meticulously ensuring that all required documentation is submitted promptly, and that all deadlines are strictly met.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for Veterans to access any questions or updates they have during the appeals process
- Conduct thorough reviews of claims in the Round Two processing stage, identifying any gaps or discrepancies that need to be addressed to facilitate a successful outcome.
- Collaborate effectively with a team of dedicated professionals, working together to resolve any complex issues or challenges related to appeals and Round Two claims.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all interactions and communications related to appeals and Round Two claims, ensuring that all information is well-- documented and accessible.
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience in appeals processing or a similar position is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential to managing multiple cases effectively.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are crucial for interacting with veterans and their families and for collaborating with team members.
- Have a quiet space to work, possess time management skills, and be self motivated.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team is essential.
- A solid understanding of veterans' disability benefits is preferred, giving you the knowledge to support our clients effectively.
- Understanding of professionalism and phone etiquette, while feeling comfortable talking to clients.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards veterans.
- Need to be proficient in Google (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Chrome, etc), Adobe, and Windows
- Typing and computer skills
A level 2 background check is required for employment with True Vet Solutions.
