About the Role
Position Summary
The Buyer - MRO & Services is independently responsible for the technical procurement & analysis of the Maintenance, Repair and Operations materials as requested by the organization. Ensures the best value and highest performance by utilizing professional purchasing techniques in accordance with department and company policies.
- Plans & executes the procurement strategy for MRO & Services related purchasing for Jacksonville, FL and Brunswick, GA.
- Primary link between AmeriTerpenes & their MRO and Service vendors. Reviews quotes & agreements, creates & manages purchase orders, ensures compliance, resolves discrepancies, pursues past due information.
- Works with storeroom personnel, maintenance, engineering & logistics as well as other departments to understand the business needs in regards to purchase and delivery.
- Negotiates pricing for MRO materials & Services, identifying alternate sources, and establishing new vendors.
- Works with Accounts Payable, the suppliers, and the internal receivers to resolve invoicing issues.
- Responsible for supplier relationship meetings, scorecards, metrics, and projects as assigned.
- Coordinate ongoing programs (ISNetworld risk management, Uniform service, etc.).
About You
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma / GED required. College degree with concentration in business management/supply chain preferred.
- 3+ years of Procurement / Supply Chain experience required.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Must have the ability to perform vLookups and create pivot tables in MS Excel.
- Experience entering and managing data in ERP systems required. SAP strongly preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Must have a customer service mindset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle a large volume of work.
