Position: IT Specialist - ENTRY LEVEL
Job Summary
The IT Specialist is responsible for ensuring the operational availability, reliability, and stability of all network, systems, and hospitality-specific technologies at The Setai, Miami Beach. This role provides high-level technical support to guests and team members, both on-site and remotely, in alignment with business needs.

QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience supporting IT systems, including Active Directory and Microsoft 365
Basic understanding of networking methodologies
Experience with VLANs, ACLs, routing, and enterprise Wi-Fi systems
Working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory management
Strong understanding of Wi-Fi infrastructure and troubleshooting
Desktop configuration and technical troubleshooting experience
Experience with Point of Sale (POS) and Property Management Systems (PMS)
(Micros-Fidelio and Oracle Opera preferred)Knowledge of backup operations (Computer Associates or similar platforms)
Understanding of VoIP technology (Mitel preferred)
Self-starter with strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to communicate sensitive or technical information tactfully and professionally
Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and operational demands
Experience with IPTV and VingCard systems preferred
Excellent customer service and staff support skills (Fluent English required)
Ability to lift 40 pounds or more
Technical & Operational Responsibilities
Provide support for all computer, CCTV, audiovisual, television, and telephone systems
Maintain and manage system updates, including antivirus software, patches, and firmware
Provide training and guidance on corporate software and technology platforms
Create, modify, and remove user accounts in Active Directory and related systems
Oversee mission-critical systems including servers, networks, and workstations
Manage departmental and enterprise-wide technology initiatives and projects
Maintain high availability standards for network and critical system resources
Meet regularly with department leaders to assess needs and recommend solutions
Ensure compliance with data security and system integrity standards
Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and weekend support as required
Deliver exceptional technical support to guests and team members
Apply superior guest relations skills in all interactions
Follow hotel telephone etiquette and call-handling procedures
Maintain professionalism in accordance with The Setai’s service culture
Maintain behavior consistent with company policies, including harassment-free workplace standards
Report to work as scheduled and adhere to personal appearance guidelines
Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
Comply with safety regulations and operational procedures
Attend required meetings and training sessions
Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas
Adhere to hotel policies, rules, and confidentiality standards
Support sustainability initiatives, including recycling practices
Remain informed of hotel updates, changes, and operational priorities
Comply with uniform and grooming standards at all times
Promote teamwork and collaboration across all departments
Communicate operational concerns promptly and effectively
Demonstrate courtesy, professionalism, and respect toward guests, management, and colleagues
Maintain flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic luxury hospitality environment
