Senior Accountant

About the job <\/b>

We are seeking a detail\-oriented and experienced <\/span> Accountant <\/b><\/span> to join our in\-office team at our <\/span> Tamarac <\/b><\/span> headquarters. This position will manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the company’s financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in QuickBooks and a solid understanding of GAAP (or relevant local standards).

Key Responsibilities: <\/b>
<\/p>

• Process and verify a high volume of POs and vendor invoices expeditiously, ensuring proper GL coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices.
  <\/li>
  
  
• Process accounts payable\/receivable, payroll, and expense reports in a timely manner.
  <\/li>
  
  
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
  <\/li>
  
  
• Assist in month\-end and year\-end closing procedures, including financial reporting.
  <\/li>
  
  
• Prepare tax filings (VAT, income tax, etc.) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  <\/li>
  
  
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements.
  <\/li>
  
  
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
  <\/li>
  
  
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial workflows.
  <\/li>
  
  
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
  <\/li>

  Qualifications & Skills <\/b>
  <\/p>
  
  

  
  
  • Education: <\/b><\/span> Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA\/ACCA preferred but not required).
    <\/li>
    
    
  • Experience: <\/b><\/span>5+ years of accounting experience (industry\-specific experience, if applicable).
    <\/li>
    
    
  • Technical Skills: <\/b><\/span> Proficiency in QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Netsuite and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
    <\/li>
    
    
  • Soft Skills: <\/b><\/span> Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
    <\/li>
    
    
  • Knowledge: <\/b><\/span> Understanding of GAAP\/IFRS and tax regulations.
