HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, located on Florida's Emerald Coast, seeks a Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Rehab Team! This position is located in Destin, FL.

Our unit is under the direction of a full time Physician Medical Director who rounds on patients daily. We seek a Registered Nurse who has the ability to specialize in rehabilitation care. Our seven day per week therapy program provides each patient a minimum of three hours of personalized therapy five out of seven days. We offer new hope for individuals facing the challenges of:

• Stroke
• Hip Fractures
• Amputation
• Major Multiple Trauma
• Neurological Disorders
• Spinal Cord Injury
• Brain Injury
• Joint Replacement

The Rehabilitation Institute of Northwest Florida is located in a newly renovated facility offering patients private rooms, larger areas for rehabilitation, and an upscale dining area. The Rehabilitation Institute of Northwest Florida just completed a new expansion in September 2018 and includes adding 10 new private inpatient rooms (for a total of only 30 so we can provide personalized care); four equipped for bariatric patients, an expanded physical therapy gym, new landscaping, and an outdoor therapy garden that will foster the patient's ability to interact with nature while working on functional activities in a safe environment.

Job Summary and Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

• Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

• State of Florida RN License required
• BLS - required
• CRRN preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

• Acute care experience preferred

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

• Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transcribe physician's orders
• Knowledge of body substance isolation
• Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs
• Basic computer skills
