Part-Time Toxicology General Supervisor

Lighthouse Lab Services is excited to represent a established laboratory opening a new location in the Daytona Beach, FL area that is looking for a Part-time Toxicology General Supervisor to join their growing team!

Position Overview:

• Provide technical and scientific guidance and support to the Laboratory Director.
• Excellent knowledge of CLIA statute and accreditation requirements.
• Ensure that all duties are properly performed and applicable CLIA regulations are met.
• Performs routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures.
• Responsible for communicating company goals, policies, deadlines, monitoring and reporting on the team's performance to Executives and stakeholders.
• Provides input and ensures compliance to laboratory workflow and process improvements.
• Ensure all duties are properly performed according to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.
• Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance under the supervision of the Laboratory Director.
• Must be onsite to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by any individuals.
• Responsible for monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
• Assuring that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the established performance specifications.
• Ensuring that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the tests properly functioning.
• Handles all administration related to hiring/firing, performance management and evaluations, coaching, training, etc. of all testing personnel.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum of B.S. in Biology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field
• At least 4 years experience in high complexity Toxicology testing required
• MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred
• Experience with Agilent 6460, Shimadzu, and ImmTox 270 EIA preferred
• Previous experience with toxicology sample prep

Salary / Benefits / Shift:

Shift: Part-time up to 20 hours per week

Salary: $35/hr-$38/hr
