AHMG Neuromuscular Neurology, Orlando, Florida (Orlando)

Overview

AdventHealth is seeking a dynamic, caring, and energetic neurologist with fellowship training in neuromuscular diseases and EMGs to expand our program in Central Florida. We are designated as Muscle Dystrophy and ALS care centers. Our team will focus on outpatient care across ten hospitals in our Central Florida Division, which totals over 3,000 beds. The new physician will join our existing team of neurology subspecialists in Neuromuscular, Headache, Neuroimmunology, and Movement Disorders, along with general neurologists.

Our Neuro Critical Care Fellowship was accredited by the UCNS in early 2019. The Neuroscience Institute at AdventHealth Orlando includes 120 dedicated neurology beds, 40 neuro-intensive care units, 8 neurosurgical OR suites with advanced imaging facilities including intraoperative 3T MRI, 64-slice CT, FDG-PET, SPECT, and MEG labs. AdventHealth Orlando is a Level 4 Epilepsy Center, ranked 30th nationally for neuroscience programs.

We also operate an advanced stroke center offering 24/7 endovascular procedures. Our neurosurgery department performs more craniotomies and spine surgeries than any other hospital in Florida. Our minimally invasive brain surgery program is highly regarded nationally and internationally. Additionally, we have a fully developed Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program.

Requirements:

• Eligible for Florida medical license
• Board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Fellowship training in neuromuscular diseases, including EMGs
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with experience in EMG and nerve conduction studies (NCS)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
