Position Description: RN

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Cardiac Surgical team at St. Joseph’s Hospital . As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness. The Cardiac Surgical unit is a step-down / PCU unit that receives post-surgical open-heart patients once they are stable from their CVICU stay.

The RN responsibilities include:

• • Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
  • Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
  • Professional accountability and development.
  • Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

• Qualifications:

• Certifications and Licensures:

• • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
  • RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
  • ACLS, NIHSS, and PCCN Certification is preferred

• Education:

• • Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred

• Experience:

• • 6 months of RN experience is required.

  • Clinical skills appropriate to position

Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
