Principal Transmission Line Engineer

About the Role: FindTalent is seeking a highly skilled Principal Transmission Line Engineer for a leading engineering firm in the Southeast. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex transmission line projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and analysis of high-voltage transmission lines (69kV – 500kV).

• Oversee project execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.

• Conduct structural analysis using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and other industry-standard software.

• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Prepare project documentation, including design reports, specifications, and construction support documents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.

• 7+ years of experience in transmission line engineering.

• Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and other transmission line design tools.

• Strong knowledge of NESC, ASCE, and other relevant standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with renewable energy integration and grid modernization projects.

• Strong project management and leadership skills.

• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
