Job Title: Test Manager
Location:Tallahassee, Florida (Onsite)
Minimum Qualification:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or test
management, preferably supporting enterprise application development, system
modernization, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience serving as a Test Manager or Test Lead responsible
for planning, coordinating, and managing testing activities across multiple project teams.
• Experience developing and implementing enterprise test strategies, master test plans, test
schedules, testing methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
• Experience managing all phases of the software testing lifecycle, including requirements
analysis, test planning, test design, test execution, defect management, user acceptance
testing (UAT), implementation validation, and post-production support.
• Experience developing and maintaining test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, test data,
requirements traceability matrices, and test summary reports.
• Experience coordinating functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, performance,
accessibility, and user acceptance testing.
• Experience establishing and managing defect management processes, including defect
logging, prioritization, triage, tracking, reporting, retesting, and closure.
• Experience working collaboratively with business stakeholders, business analysts, project
managers, developers, system integrators, vendors, and technical support teams to ensure
testing activities align with project objectives.
• Experience validating business workflows, business rules, case management processes,
system integrations, reporting functionality, security roles, notifications, and data integrity.
• Experience supporting Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid software development
methodologies.
• Experience using enterprise test management and defect tracking.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, facilitation, communication, and technical
writing skills.
• Ability to prepare executive-level testing metrics, dashboards, quality reports, risk
assessments, and go-live readiness recommendations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project,
SharePoint, and Teams.
Test Strategy and Planning
• Develop and maintain the project Test Strategy and Master Test Plan to define the overall
testing approach, objectives, scope, methodologies, testing phases, schedules, entry and exit
criteria, resource requirements, environments, roles and responsibilities, and risk mitigation
strategies.
• Define testing phases, test environments, test data requirements, reporting methods, approval
processes, and testing schedules aligned with project milestones.
• Identify testing dependencies, assumptions, constraints, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate testing activities with the Business Unit, Division of Technology, business analysts,
developers, vendors, system integrators, and project leadership.
• Support Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies as determined by the
Department.
Test Design and Execution
• Review business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria,
process maps, business rules, design documentation, and technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, expected results, and test
execution procedures.
• Develop and maintain requirements traceability to ensure complete test coverage of approved
business and functional requirements.
• Coordinate and execute functional, system, integration, regression, end-to-end, performance,
accessibility, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Coordinate security testing activities with technical resources, as appropriate.
• Validate business workflows, business rules, user roles, approvals, notifications, reports,
dashboards, system integrations, data inputs, outputs, and exception handling.
• Document test results, evidence, deviations, issues, and testing outcomes.
User Acceptance Testing
• Develop and maintain the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Plan.
• Coordinate business participation in UAT, including scheduling, participant identification, test
data preparation, and execution support.
• Prepare UAT test scripts, instructions, and supporting documentation.
• Facilitate UAT sessions with business users and subject matter experts.
• Track UAT execution, results, defects, issues, questions, and stakeholder approvals.
• Obtain business acceptance and coordinate resolution of issues identified during UAT.
Defect Management
• Establish and manage the defect management process throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Log, classify, prioritize, assign, track, monitor, retest, and verify closure of defects.
• Facilitate defect triage meetings with business and technical stakeholders.
• Maintain defect logs, testing metrics, defect trends, severity reports, and status reporting.
• Coordinate with developers, business analysts, vendors, and technical teams to ensure timely
defect resolution.
Implementation Support
• Assess and report implementation readiness by evaluating testing progress, outstanding
defects, quality metrics, risks, dependencies, and overall testing completion.
• Support go-live readiness reviews and provide recommendations for implementation based on
testing results.
• Coordinate production smoke testing and post-implementation validation activities.
• Validate critical business processes, workflows, integrations, reporting, user access, and
system functionality following deployment.
• Document production validation results, lessons learned, outstanding issues, and testing
closeout activities to support project stabilization.
Preferred qualifications include:
• Experience supporting Pega Platform implementations, workflow automation, and case
management solutions.
• Experience testing business process management (BPM), customer relationship management
(CRM), or enterprise workflow applications.
• Experience supporting public sector, regulatory, licensing, or compliance-driven information
systems.
• Experience supporting legacy system modernization and migration to cloud-based or
enterprise platforms.
• Experience coordinating testing across multiple vendors, system integrators, and business
organizations.
• Experience performing API, web services, interface, and data integration testing.
• Experience with data conversion, migration, and reconciliation testing.
• Experience coordinating performance, load, accessibility, and security testing activities.
• Experience developing test automation strategies and integrating testing into DevOps or
continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Current certification such as ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Software Test Professional
(CSTP), Certified Manager of Software Testing (CMST), Project Management Professional
(PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or equivalent quality assurance or project
management certification.
• Pega Business Architect, Pega System Architect, or other Pega-related certification or training
is desirable.
