The Goddard School of St. Augustine, an accredited Early Childhood Development Center located at 4041 County Road 210 W, St Johns, FL 32259, is expanding and hiring multiple Lead teachers, co-lead teachers, and assistant teachers in VPK, Preschool, Toddler, and Infant classrooms. We offer year-round programs for children from infants through elementary school age.

The ideal candidate has experience working with children as a Teacher in a preschool, daycare, or childcare setting and can maintain a safe, nurturing environment conducive to learning. The Teacher must implement our curriculum so that the children will respond to positively and partner with our team to enhance the learning environment at our school. If you love working with kids and have previous experience in an early learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a CDA (preferred)

• Experience coaching and training staff members (preferred)

• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience

• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children

• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (or willing to obtain)

• Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children

• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English

• All center staff applicants must meet state-specific guidelines for the role
