Position Responsibilities
- Coordinates administrative support for various Radiology Department projects and programs.
- Interfaces with physicians, residents, and technical staff within the Radiology Department and among hospital departments for various programs related activities for utilization of available technological expertise and resources are optimized.
- Provides clerical and administrative assistance for Chairman of Radiology and the department.
- Provides general training and orientation for project and department staff to acquaint them with necessary administrative procedures and requirements of projects.
- Maintains and organizes databases, prepares and submits reports as required by project, program, agencies and authorities.
- Compiles calendars, schedules, reminders and tools to assist in meeting goals, deadlines, project and IRB requirements.
- Assists in preparing protocols, budgets, reports, publications, etc. for Radiology Research, maintaining confidentiality agreements as required.
- Generates and maintains rotation schedules and multidisciplinary conferences for radiologists.
- Organize and coordinate with HR staff, the onboarding of new Attending Radiologists and assist with completing all requirements in a timely manner.
- Performs scheduling for residents and attendings, work, vacation and conference, reviews for conflicts and coverage issues. Schedules coverage of Attendings at hospital conferences.
- Assists with scheduling and coordinating the interview days for up to 80 radiology residency candidates.
- Obtains and maintains data for the various PI initiatives throughout the department, including critical value reporting, and other projects.
- Assists with all new hires, obtains and completes all credentialing and paperwork needed. Helps maintain current radiologists credentialing as well.
- Monitors all the radiologists reading queue for delayed or missed studies/dictations and notifies the appropriate radiologist(s) and support staff of any problems or delays that need to be addressed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors, Business Administration or equivalent.
- 5-10 years' work experience in health-related fields.
- 1-2 years of manager experience preferred.
