CDL Class A Driver

The CDL Class A Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery of materials to customer locations and job sites. This role combines driving responsibilities with hands-on support in loading, unloading, and securing materials. Depending on the business unit, deliveries may include oversized or specialized loads such as building components. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
What you'll do:- Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
- Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
- Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
- Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
- Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
- Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid Class A CDL license in good standing
- At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
